MS can affect everyone differently, but some groups may have similar experiences and needs. In this section you'll find information on the different services that can help you live with MS.
If you're looking for other information and publications please see
About MS?
, where you'll find all the most frequently asked questions.
Getting Support
Our
Helpline
and
National Support Groups
can provide help and point you in the right direction for information. There are currently National Support Groups for the Asian community (
Asian MS
), for those in the armed forces (
Mutual Support
) and for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgengered people (
GLAMS
).
Getting support as someone who is a carer is equally important, our
Carers Section
can help.
Learning About MS
As well as our
free publications
, you can also learn about MS through some of the events and activities we organise.
Living With MS Information Days
provide information and the opportunity to share experiences.
Our
self-management
short courses aim to help you manage long-term conditions such as MS.
Video and audio
information from experts provide access to information on specific topics.
We also have information on other
MS Books and Journals
available, along with
book reviews
written by those affected by MS.
Costs can be one of the side effects of MS that you may not have thought about straight away. Whether it's money from our
National Grant Fund
, Young Carers fund or another fund we can provide help and advice.

The Society recognises the importance of having access to the right help.

so that more people have access to them locally. We also support professionals and people affected by MS to get the best out of
social care
.
Our
Campaigns team
press for access to MS Services and MS Drugs at the right time.
We support and encourage the
NICE guidelines for MS
, recommendations for high quality MS services.
For those who experience more severe disability, respite homes can provide a much needed break for carers, as well as rehabilitation and recuperation for the person affected by MS.
