Counselling services offered

image: a picture of a nurse talking to patient Have you recently been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis? Does MS affects you in some way? Are you a partner or carer of someone with MS? If you would like to talk to someone about your situation then a counselling service is being offered by Manchester branches.
Often people do not want to speak to members of their family, or their partners, about their diagnosis or the way they are feeling but get frustrated that there is no one they can confide in. Some people do not initially wish to talk about the diagnosis. But as time goes on, they want to confide in someone other than friends and family. It is at these times they may want to consider counselling.
You don’t need to be referred or have any diagnosis to be seen. You may still benefit from talking to a qualified, experienced counsellor in a safe and confidential setting.
The sessions will take place on a Wednesday afternoon at:
Trafford Therapy Centre
The Cornerhouse,
Fourth Avenue,
Trafford Park,
M17 1DB

We would recommend a donation of £5 per session. Please note that there is a limit on availability and a maximum of 10 sessions.
For more information please contact Annie Jones by telephone on 07958 176 404 or email j.annie@tiscali.co.uk

It is always rewarding to be able to help people find what they are looking for. That is why we want to set up an information point at the Salford Royal Monday morning clinic.

Shift MS

Shift.ms is a community for young people affected by multiple sclerosis. Users can share, support and interact with each other throughout the site.

Sometimes it's good to know where things are, who's having a party where, or just that there are people near you dealing with the same stuff.
