From Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire gained the Bronze award.
Champion profile:
Andy and Geraldine are both 48 and married with no children. They wanted to do something a bit different in 2005 and decided to ride a Tandem Bicycle across America. They rode across 11 states from Oregon to Virginia in 73 days. Along the way, Andy and Geraldine crossed the Continental Divide at 11,400ft in Colorado.
As Andy and Geraldine have a friend with MS, they decided to raise money for the Society. They told as many people as possible about their journey. As their idea was out of the ordinary they were able to raise over a £1,000 and have become members of the Champions Club.
