Campaigning Together
image: A sillouette of the Houses of Parliament, with government terminology in the sky
The Policy and Campaigns team ensures that the voice of people affected by MS is heard in Parliament, by policy makers in the civil service, and at the highest level of Government.
A review of policy relating to patients who choose to pay privately for drugs or treatments not funded on the NHS is being led by Professor Mike Richards, National Cancer Director at the Department of Health. Currently, some patients are required to pay privately for drugs not funded on the NHS and as a result, are required to pay for the NHS care that they would otherwise have received for free.
We urgently need to hear from anyone who has been in this situation or has a view they would like us to express in our feedback to the Dept of Health.
