An outline of the MS Society's definition of palliative care.
The council provide information on hospice and specialist palliative care services.
MS and Palliative Care
The MS Society has produced a guide to palliative care for people with MS. This publication is currently under review and a new version will be available later in the year.
The current version is based on a study developed by King's College Hospital, funded by the MS Society and concluded in 2006. It is aimed at health and social care professionals, and promotes the better integration of palliative care, neurology and neuro-rehabilitation to optimise quality of life. It covers the following key areas:
